Artists Row is excited to present ARTie! Sarah Mays, Artists Row’s 2011 student art scholarship winner, designed a 72-foot dragon made from recycled materials, to be built by the community during the Westobou Festival. And we’re inviting YOU to join us in the fun and celebration!
We need your help in three ways: Collecting specific recycled materials. Building the temporary sculpture. Attending an event to celebrate ARTie and to auction an “inspired version” of ARTie for your garden.
Donated materials needed to build ARTie the Dragon:
- Plastic soda and water bottles (Various sizes pre-rinsed)
- Plastic grocery bags all colors
- Old left over cans of spray paint in various colors
Please deliver these materials to one of the following Artists Row Galleries or businesses:
Artistic Perceptions, Elduets, Gallery on the Row, Oddfellows Gallery & Zimmerman Gallery. Visit the Business section of our website for gallery addresses and more project details.
